Stellar Homes plans to build an energy-efficient townhouse community in the Palm-Aire section of Pompano Beach.
On Oct. 18, the city’s Development Review Committee will consider an application to reallocate 39 multifamily units within the Palm-Aire area to the 4.4-acre site at 4091 W. Palm Aire Drive. The measure would require approval from the city commission at a later date.
Larry Baum, a managing partner of Stellar Homes, said the townhomes would range from 1,600 square feet with three bedrooms to 2,400 square feet with four bedrooms. They would be priced from the mid-$300,000s to the high $400,000s. The townhomes would all have garages, and some of them would have the master bedrooms on the first floor to accommodate older residents, he said.
“We feel it’s a great area, Pompano Beach. It’s really coming back in a big way,” Baum said. “Pompano is receptive to a progressive type of development.”
Baum said the Palm-Aire community would have green features, like its other projects in Dania Beach, Davie and Pembroke Pines. Many of its homes have solar panels, electric-car chargers and hybrid water heaters.
Stellar Homes is working with architecture firm Pascual Perez Kiliddjian and planning firm Keith and Associates on the project.
